How to Use Seedance

A practical, no-fluff walkthrough from your first prompt to a finished, downloadable clip.

This guide walks through using Seedance end to end: writing an effective prompt, choosing settings, using image-to-video, and getting your final file. It takes about two minutes to make your first clip.

Step 1 — Write a clear prompt

Describe the subject, the action, and the camera move in one or two sentences. Concrete motion verbs ('slowly pushes in', 'tracks left') produce better results than vague adjectives. Add lighting and style cues at the end.

Step 2 — Choose duration, resolution, and (optionally) an image

Pick 5s for a hook, 10s for one full action beat, or 15s for continuity. Select 720p for fast drafts or 1080p for delivery. To animate an existing frame, upload it as the starting image.

Step 3 — Generate and download

Run the render, watch progress, then download the MP4 from your dashboard. Re-roll with a tweaked prompt if you want a different take — each render uses credits.
